While I’m not sure who exactly the audience is, there is one that’s quite invested in the "Jem And The Holograms" movie. The Hasbro animated TV series is coming to life with a big screen adaptation that is all about being internet famous, trending, and found footage material. You know, for kids!
Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Aurora Perrineau, Hayley Kiyoko, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis star in a Jon M. Chu directed film that follows Jem on her journey from the bedroom to the big stage, which also involves an R2-D2 like robot thingy. Here’s the official synopsis:
As a small-town girl catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar, she and her three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. In Universal Pictures’ Jem and the Holograms, four aspiring musicians will take the world by storm when they see that the key to creating your own destiny lies in finding your own voice.
"Jem And The Holograms" arrives on October 23rd.
