After asking the public what they thought, it looks like Fox Searchlight has settled on an official poster for their biopic of the slain, Brooklyn rapper, the Notorious Big.
“Notorious” is in theaters January 16, 2009.
The soundtrack which features a new Biggie demo plus new cuts by Jay-Z and Jadakiss comes out January 6.
Directed by George Tillman Jr., the film stars rapper Jamal Woodward as Bigs, Derek Luke as Puff Daddy, Angela Bassett as Mrs. Voletta Wallace (Biggie’s Mom) and Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur among others.
May 5, 2009 is evidently the target date for the DVD release. We’re on the fence about this one, but who knows, maybe it’ll turn out alright.
