Got a Tip?

‘No Country’ Double Dip DVD Finally Hits Stores This April

It’s been a long year since the standard DVD and Blu-Ray Disc of the Coen Brothers’ mechanically crafted “No Country for Old Men” came out, and fans of the film who bought the DVD right away are slamming their fists while jumping for joy, because the much deserved special edition is going to be released on April seventh.

The shitty cover boldly states that a digital copy is included, above the words “a Coen Brothers film” mind you, not to mention the back is solely devoted to demonstrating for the POHIs how to receive your digital copy of the film. Would you expect to see a movie poster that flat out says, “This is a movie!” No. Nor would you experience anything significant by watching ‘No Country’ on your fucking iPhone.
Besides the tacky digital copy label, the cover is a major step up from the original DVD, but nothing says, “Hey redneck! Rent me!” like a couple of floating heads.

New to this release are a behind the scenes featurette by Josh Brolin, multiple interviews with the cast and filmmakers including a lengthy Charlie Rose episode along with six additional audio interviews. That goes without saying that there is a digital copy of the film also included for your offensively unnecessary on-the-go Coen cravings.

Note: There is NO commentary track on the disc, but the Coens aren’t big on doing those. We are still thankful for this release that the eager Coen fans said would never come.
