Nico Tortorella has joined Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox , David Arquette , Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Hayden Panettiere, and Lake Bell in Wes Craven’s pointless “Scream 4.” He apparently stars in some show called “Make It Or Break It” which we’ve never seen and he’ll be in the fortchoming Chace Crawford/Fiddy Cent drug dealing drama “Twelve.”
Will there be a feature film following the fourth and perhaps last season of “Secret Diary Of A Call Girl?” According to series star Billie Piper, “I’m about to start filming the fourth series and then that will be it. I’m not sure it has legs past four seasons so we’re trying to develop a movie.” Seems to make sense. There is a big “Sex & the City”-type market out there who would eat this thing up.
We’re surprised it took this long to happen but National Lampoon is going to get its own documentary. Douglas Tirola and Susan Bedusa will produce the film tracing the historic comedy brand “from its beginnings as the Harvard Lampoon, through its days as a publishing sensation and Hollywood heavyweight, to its eventual downfall and into its rebirth and refocus as a multimedia company.” No word yet if it will attempt to explain why they keep churning out crap like this.
The “Secretariat” poster has arrived, and in case you weren’t aware of it, the movie is about a horse. The movie stars Diane Lane and John Malkovich and opens on October 8th.
Two European production heavyweights — Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp and Didier Brunner’s Les Armateurs — are teaming up for the CGI 3D animated thriller “French Riviera.” The film will boast an “art deco” style and is based on a screenplay written by Bruno Benchetrit and French graphic artist, Richard Zielenkiewicz (aka Monsieur Z). The film boats an $18 million budget and EuropaCorp has first rights on French and international distribution.
