With "The Great Gatsby" now about five months away from hitting theaters, in marketing terms, it's not a long time, and it looks like Warner Bros. is getting the campaign started on the literary adaptation they hope will be a big hit. Earlier today we got character posters for Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton) and Myrtle Wilson (Isla Fisher), and now a couple more people from F. Scott Fitzgerald's book are getting the one-sheet treatment.
Tobey Maguire's Nick Carraway and Elizabeth Debicki's (she's a newcomer, in case you're wondering why you never heard of her) Jordan Baker get their own dapper bits of advertising for Baz Luhrmann's latest. You should know who Nick Carraway is already, but if Jordan Baker is a bit foggier in your memory, she has a romance of sorts with Nick, and helps to get Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan together. She's not crucial to the story, but features strongly on the perimeter, and is a great opportunity for Debicki nontheless.
"The Great Gatsby" turns the page on May 10, 2013.
Hey Playlist- how is Jordan not crucial to the story? She's the one who, other than getting Daisy + Gatsby together, fills Nick (and the reader) in on Gatsby and Daisy's background and just how much he pined for her.
Nice sideboob.
The actress for Jordan looks great. Tobey Maguire…I just can't bear him in any role. Wish someone else was playing Nick but I guess that's one advantage of being Leo's buddy.
Come on Dude !!! – You don't have to post comments like this, it looks like a painful effort… why do you have to put the ART and POLITICS on the same BOX and on a site like this one … why don't you write an article of your own about your views on FITZGERALD and MCCARTHY, i would be glad to read it… but you go and write something totally irrelevant with what has been shown in here … that's just childish… r u even 18 !!!
New trailer hitting tomorrow, they showed a preview on ET
AGAIN. What's with this site? Propagating the WORK of a KNOWN FASCIST. Fitzgerald is the Senator McCarthy of his day.
