Has your life been dramatically revolutionized or is it just officially over? That’s basically the question that many of us are asking ourselves now that Netflix, the online DVD rental site, has unveiled it’s new $99 box that will allow customers to play thousands of movies and shows on their televisions instantly, for no charge beyond their normal subscription fee.
“It is the most impressive product we’ve seen attached to a TV this decade,” said Richard Doherty, the director of the Envisioneering Group told the New York Times.
The main drawback? Netflix online gives you 100,000 titles to choose from. With the Netflix Roku box you’ve only got 10,000 DVD titles to choose from.
Yeah, we’re all officially fucked.
