That’s right. As Hollywood ramps up a never ending stream of connected movies, Warner Bros. is growing their “The Conjuring” Universe (Yep, that’s what it’s called). The main film has already had one sequel, and spinoffs so far have included “Annabelle,” with “The Nun” and “The Crooked Man” movies on the way. But first comes “Annabelle: Creation.”
Directed by David F. Sandberg (“Lights Out“) and starring Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto, this movie will spin yet another story about that creepy doll. Here’s the official synopsis:
In Annabelle: Creation, several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a doll maker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. They soon become the target of the doll maker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
“Annabelle: Creation” opens on August 11th.
