At one point, “Guardians Of The Galaxy” seemed like the biggest question mark of the summer season, but with each successive trailer and piece of marketing, it looks like director James Gunn got the mix of weird and mainstream right. Now the question is: can Jonathan Liebesman do the same for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles“?
That question will be answered the week after ‘Guardians’ opens, but for now some new illustrated artwork has brought together the foursome who will be rising from the sewers. And there’s a special bonus piece from street artist Mike Johnston that adds a dash of color to our heroes. But the big question teenage boys want answered is: when are we gonna get our Megan Fox poster?
Hopefully sometime before August 8th, bros.
Megan Fox I expect in this tripe, but Will Arnett? Really? Sigh…
Q: can Jonathan Liebesman get the right mix of weird & mainstream for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"?
A: No. Jonathan "Darkness Falls, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Wrath of the Titans, Battle:Lost Angeles" Liebesman can't.
My 12 year old nephew saw one of the TV spots for this. I felt a sense of pride when he looked at me and asked "Why'd they bother changing how the Turtles look? The old movies did it the right way, now they look weird and a little stupid."
Those are the worst looking posters i've seen! Big green gorillas…and edward shredderhands???
Wow, those posters look terrible. On second thought, particularly regarding the team behind this film, I retract my "Wow."
