While some may recoil from the very idea of making another version of “Carrie,” the Stephen King story immortalized by Brian De Palma‘s 1976 film, if it means that it opens doors for Chloe Moretz to work with Olivier Assayas, then we’re cool with that.
A brand new poster for “Carrie” has arrived, and it finds Sony sticking with the the iconic, blood soaked imagery everyone associates with horror classic. Moretz takes the lead as the troubled teen under the iron grip of her fundamentalist Mom (Julianne Moore), while being bullied at school, who unleashes a wave of terror when she’s finally pushed too far. Whether or not this will be a one weekend success like “Evil Dead” or something that captures the public a bit more, remains to be seen.
Class is in session on October 18th. [Empire]
Is it just me or is Chloe Moretz way too good-looking for this part? (judged from the trailer)
