So, will Warner Bros. strike "Twilight" or "The Hunger Games" sized gold with "Beautiful Creatures," another young adult novel adaptation? Well, they might if they actually started marketing the thing, which comes out in about five months. But until a trailer drops, we'll have to do with some stills from the flick instead, which certainly don't hid the fantasy elements that are a big part of this story.
Based on the novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, the story follows Ethan Wate (Alden Ehrenreich) and Lena Duchannes (Alice Englert), two teens in the deep south who are drawn together by a strange connection and supernatural secrets. As we haven't read these novels, we're not sure what exactly those latter details are, but considering this is just the first part in the four book Caster Chronicles series, it seems we're just at the tip of the iceberg. These new stills show off some of the supporting cast which includes Emmy Rossum as Ridley, Lena's manipulative cousin, as well as Jeremy Irons and Viola Davis.
Guys, we're warning you now, if your gal is into this series, you might want to get tickets for this early…."Beautiful Creatures" is slated to open on Wednesday, February 13th. That's right, one day before Valentine's Day (sorry, you'll have to put "A Good Day To Die Hard" on hold). [Kino Gallery]
