Here are a few new looks at a host of upcoming 2010 slated films from the L.A. Times’ 2010 preview.
First up is Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi-thriller “Inception” where the actor will play a CEO-type protagonist in the midst of a blackmailing scheme and “metaphysical heisting.” It’s a film about the power to steal dreams, essentially.
DiCaprio’s “Inception” co-star Tom Hardy, meanwhile, features in a new shot of Gavin O’Connor’s cage-fighting thriller “Warrior.” As much as a “cage-fighting thriller” sounds like an eye-gauging affair, the cast of Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Morrison could prove to be an interesting mix.
Next up is Joe Johnston’s “The Wolf Man,” starring the likes of Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt. We hope they have good reasons to why this looks horrid because from here it just looks like the goat boy from ‘Narnia’ woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Then there’s the round-up of some of the biggest names in 90’s comedy with “Grown Ups.” Starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider, the film follows five friends who pick up where things left off thirty ago at their high school reunion.
Other new looks in the L.A. Times piece include Tina Fey and Steve Carrell in rom-com “Date Night” and Aaron Johnson as the titular character in Matthew Vaughn’s ultra-violent comic adaptation “Kick-Ass.”
