– We’ve been pimping this thing every chance we get so, once again, here’s another look at Nicole Kidman and Daniel Day-Lewis in Rob Marshall’s “Nine.” We’re heavily anticipating this film like no other this fall. Seriously, what’s going to be better?
– HBO has greenlit Martin Scorsese’s 1920’s set “Boardwalk Empire.” Scorsese helmed the pilot and may look at directing more of the 11 ordered episodes in his collaboration with producer Mark Wahlberg (“Entourage”) and writer Terence Winter (“The Sopranos”). Steve Buscemi stars as Nucky Thompson, the unchallenged king of Atlantic City. A 2010 premiere is being eyed.
– The Weinstein Company has picked up Tom Hooper’s “The King’s Speech.” Starring Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, the film centers on the story of the man who would become Great Britain’s King George VI, the father of the U.K.‘s current sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II. Maybe TWC does have a little bit of extra scratch lying around afterall. Either that or they bought it for a song.
– Seems like dolphin-doc “The Cove” served its purpose. On the start of “dolphin killing season” no dolphin killers were in sight in Taiji, Japan – the epicenter of the business.
– An unauthorized documentary on the rise of Apple is now available and is being offered for download on the iTunes movie store. Helmed by Rob Baca and Josh Rizzo, the doc features interviews with Andy Hertzfeld, co-creator of the original Macintosh, Guy Kawasaki, longtime Mac evangelist and Leander Kahney, author of the book “Cult of Mac.”
– This quote pretty much sells itself. “Vincent Gallo—who I’m happy to shame—put down Christina Aguilera,” said Barry Hogan of discussions surrounding possible artist recruitment and suggestions for this year’s All Tommorrow’s Parties festival. “He wanted to have sex with her.”
– Here’s the first trailer for Mei Hu’s “Confucious” biopic starring Chow Yun-Fat.

I shouldn't speak for everyone, but yes. I am dying to see this. Musicals are very underrated. Chicago was excellent. Daniel Day-Lewis using his amazing talents to dominate a whole new genre he's never tackled before? Hell yes.
I mean, im exaggerating a bit, but it's probably in my top 5 anticipated for the fall along with Tree Of Life. Plus the films we don't know that much about (Life, Nine, though that's becoming and less the case these days) are always the ones that intrigue me the most.
