As promised the official trailer for “New Moon,” the second movie in the vampire saga for tweens and their depressed moms, had its debut in MTV’s VMAs last night and here’s what we learned:
1. The make-up person from the first movie who over-whited everyone was fired or Chris Weitz knows a lot more about lighting than Catherine Hardwicke.
2. In high school when your crush breaks up with you it will lead to a nervous breakdown.
3. Also, in high school after summer break you could come back looking like a whole new person who is attractive and now turns into a wolf. Well, to be fair we also learned that in “Teen Wolf.”
4. Creepy Roman vampires will totally hurt you with their red eye contacts!

What I learned from watching this trailer:
1) Acting is a noun, not a verb.
2) If you need to get in touch with a vampire (ex)-lover hoping off a cliff is a one of several methods.
3) Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen will do any movie.
Gross.
Isn't it a bit too soon for a Da Vinci Code remake?

From what I've read on the internets, apparently the vampire leaves her because he doesn't want to put her life in danger because he's a vampire – Conundrum! – and the only way she can hear him (in her mind or something??) is to put her life at risk and that's basically that's why she's jumping off a cliff and sees him in the water. But that tune hitting that scene under the water is not bad. This movie doesn't look as bad as the first, and what's his name playing the vampire doesn't look as constipated.
And there are werewolves this time around. They actually just look like large wolves
Hopefully the werewolves will not sparkle.
