"Wonder Woman" is over a year-and-a-half away, but Warner Bros. is giving themselves plenty of room to get it right (and maybe add cameos during the undoubtedly scheduled reshoots). Production has started on the Patty Jenkins-directed movie, and full details about the cast have been revealed.
Joining Gal Gadot and Chris Pine will be Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis, however, their exact roles haven’t been specified. It’s notable for the international flavor, but doesn’t have quite the A-list names of "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" or even "Suicide Squad."

In the tech department, Matthew Jensen ("Game Of Thrones," "Fantastic Four") will be DP, with Oscar nominee Aline Bonetto ("Pan," "Amelie") is the production designer, Oscar winner Martin Walsh ("Chicago," "Cinderella") will edit, and Lindy Hemming (Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight trilogy) provides the costume design.
"Wonder Woman" opens on June 23, 2017. Check out the first look, but first, here’s what Megan Gale would’ve looked like in George Miller‘s scrapped "Justice League Mortal." [HeyUGuys/ComicBookMovie]
Gal looks great. Gale\’s costume is so cheaping looking; like something for cosplay. Robin W is so bland, bad casting there.
Also, say what you will of the Gadot costume design, but that costume that Megan Gale is wearing makes it look as though she\’s got two large coconuts in the middle of her chest. Literal coconuts, that is.
I wonder how pissed WB will be when they realize she leaked a promotional still from Star Wars. I mean… cool! A picture that could double as a fall clothing advert.
so no nicole kidman? hopefully not, this isn\’t giving me a jessica jones vibe.
\’but doesn\’t have quite the A-list names of "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" or even "Suicide Squad.\’ No, but having the dudes from great films like Trainspotting, The Proposition, and Naked makes it far more interesting. Sometimes I wonder why your website is still called \’Indie\’wire.
Patty Jenkins could be interesting. Monster was promising and she may be able to put together a fine tentpole.
