The “X-Men: First Class” trailer will debut tomorrow on Facebook of all places, but in anticipation of that momentous event, Fox has dropped a little bit of teaser of what’s in store.
EW has gotten an early and first look at Magneto (played by Michael Fassbender) in full gear in the film. Of course, being a tease, we just see him from the rear and where is he standing? Did he accidentally stumble into a discarded maze from “Inception“? Details are being kept mum on what will be in the trailer and EW says vaguely we’ll get “a first look at the younger years of Professor X and his team of superpowered pupils.” Well, duh.
Anticipation and expectation is riding high on the Matthew Vaughn directed film and he’ll have a lot to prove after the first look of the superheros didn’t quite get met with an enthusiastic reception from the faithful. The trailer had better kick some serious ass. The film stars Fassbender, James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost), Oliver Platt (Man In Black), Caleb Landry (Banshee), Lucas Till (Havoc), Edi Gathegi (Darwin), Jason Flemyng (Azazel), Zoe Kravitz (Angel) and Kevin Bacon as the evil Sebastian Shaw. The film will school audiences on June 3rd.
