“Let Me In,” Matt Reeves’ remake of the Tomas Aflredson’s celebrated vampire film “Let The Right One In” has been building buzz mostly because it looks like it might not be a total trainwreck borne out of a bad idea.
Anyhow, coming almost simultaneously with the news that the film will receive its World Premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, Fantastic Fest revealed that after being unveiled north of the border, “Let Me In” will head to Austin for its U.S. premiere.
The film starring Kodi-Smith McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Richard Jenkins opens on October 1st. [IndieWire/TIFF]
Man, I know I should know better than to get all excited about this, but I am really starting to look forward to this. I need to rewatch the original on NF though…
Trailer looked good. Seems like there are some departures but they are sticking close to the look of the original. Most importantly the kids seem like they can act… Optimistic.
