Got a Tip?

New Look At Eva Green & Johnny Depp In ‘Dark Shadows’ Plus Pics From ‘The Europa Report,’ David Lynch’s ‘Crazy Clown Time’ & More

nullIt's that time again when we take a look at a whole host of new images that have arrived for some of the films we're eagerly anticipating this year (well, for the most part anyway).

First up, Shock 'Til You Drop has a new look at Johnny Depp and Eva Green in Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows." Depp plays Barnabas Collins, a wealthy playboy who is turned into a vampire and buried alive by Green's Angelique Bouchard after he breaks her heart. This should see Depp and Burton well and truly within their comfort zones, but that means it could just as likely be inspired as it could be run-of-the-mill. The rest of the cast includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz and, of course, Helena Bonham Carter, and the film will be released on May 11th.

Next is an image courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (via ComingSoon) of Sharlto Copley in full astronaut gear for "The Europa Report." Copley — who impressed in "District 9" and was faultless in Joe Carnahan's otherwise tepid "The A Team" — stars alongside an international cast which includes "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and "Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol" star Michael Nyqvist. We know that the film follows six astronauts as they journey to Jupiter's eponymous moon, but like one of Copley's other projects (Neill Blomkamp's "Elysium"), we know little else as of yet.

Here's something a little different. Entertainment Weekly have provided us with our first look at David Lynch's music video for the title track from his album Crazy Clown Time. While we'd much rather be seeing Lynch direct for the big screen, we'll take whatever we can get from him at this point. The still looks suitably Lynch-ian, and EW quote the director saying " ‘Crazy Clown Time’ should have an intense psychotic backyard craziness, fueled by beer." How can you not love David Lynch?

Finally, we've got our first look at DreamWorks Animation's "The Croods," and they look exactly as you'd expect if you imagined what cavemen designed by DreamWorks would look like. The voice cast includes Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Catherine Keener, and as Bleeding Cool rightly observe, it seems fairly easy to match the voices to the characters in the image. The project pairs the director of "Lilo and Stitch" and "How To Train Your Dragon" with the director of "Space Chimps" in the story that takes place during the prevoiusly undiscovered era, the Croodaceous, when nature was still a work-in-progress. The film arrives on March 22, 2013.nullnullnull

  1. Dark Shadows looks awesome, as I expected, but is this movie really coming out this spring? There has been almost no push behind it at all. If you aren't a hard core movie nerd, you have NO IDEA that this movie is even being made, let alone released in a couple of months.
