While every other studio seems to be dropping some mad billz for Super Bowl spots, Warner Bros. are politely sitting on the sidelines today. So, sorry, you won't be seeing anything for "Man Of Steel," "The Great Gatsby," "The Hangover Part III" or "Pacific Rim." But as a small concession of sorts, they've dropped some new images for the latter.
USA Today got their hands on the goods which gives another peek at a movie that hopefully won't be "Real Steel" but in the ocean. But however it turns out, Guillermo Del Toro had a blast making it, telling the paper it's "the only movie I've done where I don't want it to end, frankly." And it won't be, as development on the sequel has already started. Are they putting the cart before the horse? Time will tell, but with the movie test screening over the last couple of days in Burbank, California it has earned the endorsement of one filmmaker already: Rian Johnson.
Go into Pacific Rim prepared to be transmogrified into a 12 year old. And then to pee your pants with joy. I love it so much.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and more, we'll see if Del Toro has created the robot smashing movie to beat all comers, but early word is good (though, test audiences for nerd movies generally tend to be over-excited). "Pacific Rim" opens on July 12th.
What's so wrong with Real Steel? It's a decent, well thought out story with great sfx.
when you say new pictures, you really mean screen grabs from the trailer….
