In case you’ve been living under a rock, “Never Have I Ever” is an American coming of age comedy-drama television series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. It’s a bit YA, comedy, but it’s partially based on Kaling’s childhood in the Boston area growing up. It’s become a big hit on Netflix ever since it debuted in 2020 and was seen as a watershed moment for South Asian representation in Hollywood.

In season one, after a traumatic year, an Indian-American teen (Ramakrishnan) just wants to spruce up her social status — but friends, family, and feelings won’t make it easy on her. The season two tagline gets a bit more complicated. “One nerd. Two boyfriends. It’s about to get messy.”

In Season 2 of the coming-of-age comedy Never Have I Ever, Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home while also navigating new romantic relationships. Never Have I Ever is created by executive producer Mindy Kaling, with Lang Fisher serving as co-creator, executive producer, showrunner, and writer. The Universal Television project is also executive produced by 3 Arts Entertainment’s Howard Klein and David Miner.
