Not to be confused with the other formerly titled “Friends With Benefits” aka “Fuckbuddies” aka Untitled Romantic Comedy (geez, we hope somebody settles on a title soon) this “Friends With Benefits” stars Justin Timberlake in a similarly plotted film about “a headhunter [who] recruits an editor to run a men’s magazine…since each is too busy to find a mate, they agree to sleep together with no strings attached. Things get complicated when the guy falls for the girl, who’s dating someone else.” We wonder what will happen next!
Production Weekly tweets that Mila Kunis is in talks to co-star with Timberlake, presumably playing the headhunter and female lead. Kunis will probably be a great fit for the role, but the project itself sounds kind dull. We’re certainly not encouraged that Will Gluck (“Fired Up!”) is directing and rewriting the script. This will probably be lowest common denominator stuff, but we would love to be pleasantly surprised.
The film is ramping up for a New York City shoot starting in July.
