I gotta be honest, the words "mining drama" don’t exactly inspire a whole lot of excitement in me. That said, this cast does, so I guess I’ll just have to put on my construction helmet and see where "Gold" goes.
Michelle Williams has joined Matthew McConaughey in the upcoming movie. A project once eyed by Michael Mann and Spike Lee, Stephen Gaghan ("Syriana") is now helming the "Treasure Of The Sierra Madre"-esque tale about the 1993 Bre-X Mineral Corporation scandal, penned by Patrick Massett and John Zinman ("Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," "Friday Night Lights").
Production begins in June, and this marks Williams’ third movie in a row this year. She has already wrapped Kelly Reichardt‘s new, untitled movie and Kenneth Lonergan‘s "Machester-By-The-Sea." So a lot of things to look forward to in 2016 for fans of Williams. [Variety]
Has something changed with her casting? IMDB no longer links her credits with Gold.
There still a lot of rivalry between Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes. Recently Katie film came out women in gold where she plays the wife of Ryan Reyonds in a true story and now Michelle doing the same. It\’s like they plan if one in the spotlight the another won\’t be far behind. It seems to become a regular pattern with the two of them.
Can\’t picture Michelle Williams and Mathew mcconaughey together, they seem like an odd couple
It\’s a really solid script. Wish Mann and Bale were still involved. Or at least Mann
All I can say is that Matthew McConaughey sure has great taste in wives: Naomi Watts, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Keri Russell and now Michelle Williams.
