There’s “an old-school element where things look used and battered, like the original ‘Star Wars‘…” said Michael Fassbender, who plays the film’s “synthetic” David, to The Australia Herald Sun about the sets for the movie, which he says will feature NASA-style technology as well.
Also starring Rebecca Ferguson, Demian Bichir, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo and Callie Hernandez, the sequel follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, who discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world whose sole inhabitant is David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. And Fassbender says that his android character should likely not be trusted.
“He is creepy. And he’s back in a whole new way…” he teased about his character.
