The branches of the Marvel tree keep growing. Having crossed off the big screen, Netflix, ABC, and FX off their list, the next network to feel its superhero strength is Freeform.
Deadline reports that the network has snapped up straight-to-series order for a live-action adaptation of "Cloak And Dagger." The project has been rumored for a while, so it’s not a complete surprise, even if the network it’s will be on might be. The show seems to be geared specifically towards the YA crowd, telling the story of teens Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson who must manage their own personal relationship with their newly found abilities.
No word yet on casting (share your suggestions below), or who will be writing, but those details are likely to come soon given it’s going straight-to-series. What’s next? A Marvel show on History Channel?
I can still remember how unfortunate The Middleman fared on ABC Family. This getting stuck on the same network (sorry, I mean "Freeform") doesn\’t really pour a lot of hope into it being a huge success.
