It’s been nearly a full year since the announcement that Channing Tatum was teaming up with Steven Soderbergh for a new “Magic Mike” film, titled “Magic Mike’s Last Dance.” And now, to celebrate the near-anniversary of the news, we have the first trailer for the upcoming drama.
As seen in the trailer for “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” the film follows the story of Mike (Tatum) as he meets a wealthy socialite who offers him a chance to put on a full-on stage show in London. This is all after he gives her a seductive lap dance. I mean, it’s Channing Tatum, so a lap dance is worth quite a bit, right? So, Mike ventures off to the UK where he aims to put on a show that will put his work on the next level.
Joining Tatum in the cast are Salma Hayek, Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, and Vicki Pepperdine. The sequel features the return of filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first “Magic Mike” but didn’t return for “Magic Mike XXL.” However, Reid Carolin, the screenwriter behind the first two films, returns with the script for ‘Last Dance.’
“Magic Mike’s Last Dance” debuts in theaters on February 13, 2023. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Magic” Mike Lane (Tatum) takes to the stage again after a lengthy hiatus, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. For what he hopes will be one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Hayek Pinault) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse…and an agenda all her own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what she truly has in mind, will he—and the roster of hot new dancers he’ll have to whip into shape—be able to pull it off?
