Known for roles in “Taken,” J.J. Abrams’ “Lost” and a smaller one in “Knight & Day,” actress Maggie Grace will elevate her public Q-awareness rating that much higher now that she has joined the cast of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”
According to Deadline, the actress will play the role of Irina, a vampire threat to Kristen Stewart’s now teen-iconic Bella character. She’s also — LOL, get this — one of the vampire vegetarians (guess this writer should probably see one of these movies, right?).
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” comes in two parts and will be directed by Bill Condon (“Dream Girls,” “Kinsey”). The first installment arrives November 18, 2011 and part two is scheduled to hit theaters on November 16, 2012, but neither film has started shooting yet. “Breaking Dawn” will star the usual suspect cast members, Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Anna Kendrick, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, etc. plus new additions Rami Malek, probably best known for his turn on the Emmy-winning series, “The Pacific,” and potentially Lee Pace (if those negotiations ever came through) as well as the aforementioned Grace.
