‘MacGruber’ Clip: Will Forte Returns In December To Rip Throats And Leave Upper Deckers For His Enemies

The world is really terrible right now. It doesn’t seem like there’s any hope for the human race. Well, maybe there’s one hope—MacGruber. Unfortunately, he’s been locked away in prison for more than a decade. Thankfully, Peacock is busting him out of jail for a new series in December.

As seen in the new teaser/clip from “MacGruber,” Will Forte returns as the title character, who has been wasting away in prison for 11 years. All he wants to do is break out and see his ex-wife, Vicki St. Elmo, like a moth with a tiny dick attracted to a light bulb, as he says. But he’s stuck in jail…until America needs him again. And it would appear that there’s going to be a new threat that forces MacGruber back on the streets where he has exhibited a tendency to rip throats out for fun.

In addition to Forte, the series stars Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane, Joseph Lee Anderson, and Timothy V. Murphy. Forte not only stars as MacGruber in the series, but he is also one of the writers and executive producers, sharing co-showrunning duties with John Solomon and Jorma Taccone.

“MacGruber” is set to debut on Peacock on December 16. You can watch the jailhouse interview below.

Here’s the synopsis:

After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo and Dixon Piper, in order to defeat the forces of evil.
