Hopefully, everyone out there had fun last night (or over the weekend) celebrating Halloween. Now, for us mere mortals, most of us will scrounge together a costume at the last minute, hoping that it’s passable enough to warrant our inclusion in the best party we can find. And yes, there are some out there that go the extra mile and make all of us slackers look silly. But when you’re a famous actor and you have millions of followers on social media, you better do your best to impress on Halloween.

And so, with that in mind, we’ve pulled together some Hollywood figures and will share what they dressed up as for their respective celebrations. There’s Lupita Nyong’o, Padma Lakshmi, Sophie Turner, Justin Timberlake, and Olivia Munn, who all took inspiration from their favorite films. Some decided to go more traditional like Nicole Kidman, Mindy Kaling, and Zoe Kravitz.
All told, everyone we’ve included did an admirable job with their Halloween get-ups and are worth a gander. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find inspiration for next year’s costume and you can begin planning now. Or more likely, you’ll still wait until the last minute or use a previous costume. Hey, we’ve all been there.
