Scandalous love, maternal love, pure love, romantic love and more…they all swirl and pollinate Joe Wright's upcoming "Anna Karenina" and these eight new posters for the film get right to the heart of the matter.
While the adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's novel hasn't quite picked up the awards season heat of films like "Argo" or "Silver Linings Playbook," don't let that dissuade you. The film is a beautifully operatic, visually dazzling and excitingly ambitious take on the classic piece of literature, which shakes off any notions of it being your average period picture. And Wright gets plenty of help from his cast with Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Domnhall Gleeson and Matthew Macfadyen providing some memorable turns (particularly the latter, whose comic relief is a nice break from the boiling emotions in the rest of the picture).
Calling the film both "fascinatingly theatrical and thrillingly cinematic" it's one we definitely recommend when it rolls out stateside starting November 16th. One sheets below. [Yahoo!]
They are postcards, not posters.
Beautiful costumes and images. I really love Kitty and Levin in this version.
These are hideous but the movie looks stunning.
