‘Love Death + Robots’ Season 2 Trailer: Tim Miller & David Fincher’s Animated Anthology Series Returns In May

Love Death + Robots” is an interesting series. In fact, if you think about it, the sci-fi-themed animated anthology series might be one of the most strange projects that exist on the Netflix streaming service. But when you have producers such as Tim Miller and David Fincher, it’s clear why Netflix would be excited to have not just one season of the show, but two full seasons of batshit crazy stories.

As seen in the new trailer for “Love Death + Robots” Season 2, the stories are all new but the beautiful animation is back. “Love Death + Robots” is an anthology that loosely plays with structure and theme, with animation houses able to submit shorts that are sci-fi, in nature, but can span anything from love stories to silly comedy to gruesome, violent actioners. And Season 2 keeps that going with some truly beautiful animation and a variety of stories that makes it so you can watch each episode of the series without really knowing what you might expect.

As mentioned, “Love Death + Robots” comes from the minds of Tim Miller and David Fincher, who are executive producers on the show. Both men are solid filmmakers, with Fincher perhaps one of the best directors working today, period. So, their seal of approval is more than enough to gain intrigue. They’re joined by Jennifer Miller and Joshua Donen in bringing “Love Death + Robots” to Netflix.

Again, it’s difficult to know what to expect with the new season of “Love Death + Robots,” as the first season was so eclectic and strange. But because of that unknown, it’s pretty exciting, especially if you’re a fan of sci-fi in small chunks. “Love Death + Robots” returns on May 14 and you can watch the new trailer below.
