Whether or not it’ll launch a new franchise or go down as a (second) failed attempt at bringing the comic book characters to the big screen, "Fantastic Four" can at least boast some legit coolness. Run The Jewels member and famed hip hop producer El-P has contributed the closing song for the film, and now you can hear his surprising creation.
Rather than delivering mad beats, El-P has said "Another Body" is "an homage to one of my biggest influences Philip Glass. but twisted, of course," and that sounds about right. This is certainly much noisier than something Glass might do, but underneath the clatter you can distinctly hear some the same kind of repetitive musical patterns the composer might employ. It’s certainly a nice change from the usually sub-Hans Zimmer-esque racket that seems to accompany every blockbuster these days.
Meanwhile, the past week or so has seen many featurettes and TV spots land online, featuring snippets of new footage. Check that out below, along with an interview with Miles Teller from Comic-Con about "Fantastic Four." The team comes together on August 7th. Watch below.
