Going into business with your best friend can seem like an amazing opportunity, essentially helping each other move up life’s ladder. But in “Like A Boss,” a best friend relationship is about to be put to the test when money talks.

Directed by Miguel Arteta (“The Good Girl”), will see best friends Mia and Mel, Rose Byrne (“Bridesmaids”) and Tiffany Haddish (“Night School”), running their cosmetics company. But when they start hemorrhaging money, they turn to cosmetic titan Claire Luna (Salma Hayek from “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”) for investment, however, their friendship is put to the test when Luna starts stealing from them.
Haddish, as of late, has become very popular, with roles in “The Kitchen,” as well as voicing characters in both “The Angry Birds Movie 2” and “The Secret Life Of Pets 2.” In 2017, after starring in “Girls Trip,” Paramount Pictures (who is producing) became very interested in Haddish. They had bought the film specifically for her to star in and then secured her services to shoot the following year.

One interesting star in the film is current WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, who has appeared in a few films already, including a voiceover role in the Jetsons/WWE Crossover and John Stockwell’s action film “Armed Response.” It will be interesting to see if Rollins can use this comedy to take his acting career to a new level, or if this will be another one he will “Burn it Down…” to the ground.
Alongside Byrne and Haddish, there are roles for Jennifer Coolidge (“American Pie”), Billy Porter (“Pose”), Karan Soni (“Deadpool”), and The Merrell Twins (“The Standoff”).

The project was originally called “Limited Partners” and was written by Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly, but the name was changed back in July this year.
Here is the synopsis:
Best friends Mia and Mel (Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne) are living their best lives running their own cosmetics company they’ve built from the ground up. Unfortunately, they’re in over their heads financially, and the prospect of a big buyout offer from a notorious titan of the cosmetics industry Claire Luna (Salma Hayek) proves too tempting to pass up, putting Mel and Mia’s lifelong friendship in jeopardy. The beauty business is about to get ugly. “Like A Boss” also stars Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni.
