Got a Tip?

Leonardo DiCaprio Teaches Ellen Page Her First Lesson In New ‘Inception’ TV Spot; Cool Korean Poster Unveiled

“This if your first lesson….you never remember the beginning of the dream,” says Leonardo DiCaprio to his new assistant Ellen Page in the latest TV spot for Christopher Nolan’s brainy heist thriller “Inception” set to hit screens in a couple of weeks. We have a feeling those words may be a warning/tease for the audience as well.

There are have been a number of TV spots for the film already, but the majority of them are merely recut from the trailers, but this one is the first to expand upon the cafe scene with DiCaprio and Page, intriguingly revealing it to be a dream (shades of “The Matrix” here). But how they got there without Page realizing it remains tantalizingly unclear.

Oh yeah, the snazzy poster is the Korean one sheet for the film which rightly uses the eye grabbing shot of a street folding in on itself as its centerpiece. Not too shabby.

“Inception” also stars Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy and opens on July 16th.

  1. I saw this when it aired during game 7 of the NBA finals, and half of me was jazzed it was new footage but then the other hald was alittle taken aback by the CGI. The exploding scenery looked alot worse on a 50 inch plasma in hidef, but I'm not sure why. i rewatched it like 10 times, but still found it very jarring and odd. I think it has to do more with the speed than anything. So far, that scene as we've seen in previous trailers, has been show in slomo. This was almost fastmo, and because of that, almost looked like something from the Syfy channel. Let's hope not because before this TV spot, I have loved every single frame of the film I've seen thus far.

  2. As I understand it, the exploding scenery was mostly for real. The SFX crew supposedly did some black magic with smokeless explosives and pneumatics.
