Got a Tip?

Kirsten Dunst Joins Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac In ‘Two Faces Of January’

nullWhile you never know how a movie will turn out, even with the best talent involved, when they recieve the type of ingredients that are being stirred for "Two Faces of January" it's hard not get excited. Already boasting two excellent leads in Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac, another great name is coming on board this now-highly-anticipated thriller-ish drama.

Kirsten Dunst, who is having a nice post-"Spider-Man" renaissance with roles in films as wide ranging as Lars Von Trier's "Melancholia," Walter Salles' "On the Road" and the upcoming comedy "Bachelorette," has joined 'January.' Marking the directorial debut of "Drive" writer Hossein Amini, the movie is based on the book by famed novelist Patricia Highsmith ("The Talented Mr. Ripley"), and follows a con artist (Mortensen) who is forced to flee Greece with his wife (Dunst) after accidentally (or not) killing a police officer. An American tutor (Isaac) agrees to help him out, and all three hightail it Istanbul. Exotic locations? This cast and talent? Yep, sign us up.

Production on the film is slated to begin on October 1st with Amini teasing to Variety that the film is a "story about love dying: What it's like to fall out of love with someone you still feel a certain loyalty to." With the producer Tim Bevan also casually throwing in a comparsion in talent and quality to "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," our expectations are up.

  1. LOL! Great names?? Highly anticipated?? This movie will flop like all other Mortensen obscure films since LOTR. Kirsten Dunst is NOT a good actress and I never heard of the other guy. I bet you they rely on nudity, sex scenes or violence to keep your interest. Wow, that's original.

  2. When did Kirsten Dunst become a great name? I didn't get that memo. Film has potential though, with Mortensen in it, the Drive screenwriter getting his first shot at directing and a great name's novel as source material.
