Got a Tip?

Kirsten Dunst Gets Her Moment In New ‘On The Road’ Clip

nullAfter a wait of somewhere between 55 and 25 years, the film version of Jack Kerouac's seminal "On The Road" finally unspooled at the Cannes Film Festival this morning. And the word was… ok. Few were outright raving, few were outright ranting, with most reviews, like our own, falling somewhere in the middle, finding a lot to like, but also finding the film a little dull in places, and perhaps too close to its source material. It's sure to do the festival circuit around the world in the coming months, so it'll be a little while before you can make up your own mind about the picture.

But in the meantime, one more clip from the film has arrived, to give you another taste, featuring Sam Riley as Sal Paradise and Kirsten Dunst (supposedly one of the film's highlights) as Camille, having a little dance together. Riley's been one of the more divisive elements of the film in the reviews, so you should be able to start to work out how you'll feel about him from this clip (and yesterday's). There's still no firm word on a release date for "On The Road," but we're expecting it to arrive towards the end of the year, likely after a run at the likes of TIFF and NYFF.
