We’re still not sure why fanboys are wetting themselves in anticipation over “Kick Ass.” Most of the online chatter is about a ten year old who ZOMGsays-bad-words-and-totally-kills-people/ZOMG. But then again, we’ve already graduated junior high school so maybe we’re just not the audience for this. Anyways, we can’t wait for it come out if only so we can stop writing about it once and for all.
Most of the footage in the recently released international trailer is stuff we’ve already seen before, except scored to Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” and filled out with some new slices of footage which we don’t find all that exciting but that nerds are probably already deconstructing. Oh yeah, and Hit Girl says “cock”. How daring!
“Kick Ass” opens on April 16th and we’re predicting it will be early contender for the 2011 Razzie awards.

I've always found you very annoying.
The more I see of Kick Ass the more I want to see it. Looks crazy.

Lighten up guys. Action, humor, originality. Why not look forward to a movie that's trying something different?
@Michael
If by different you mean peddling the same crap as Superhero Movie with more blood and swears. You'd be right.
I thought it was OK before the last line. If that's the level of jokes in there, oh boy. It landed with an especially dull thud because someone in a previous thread made a comment about the jokes being juvenile. Definitely dialing down my expectations now.
On the bright side, Mark Strong's always fun to watch and quickly becoming one of my favorite actors.
its looks retarded but geeks will eat it up.
