Well, a stopped clock is right twice a day. After two years of pretty much bullshit from "Kick-Ass" creator Mark Millar, it looks like his talk that "Kick-Ass 2" would shoot this summer is actually becoming a reality.
Deadline reports that talks are underway with cast members Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse to reprise their roles in the movie that would shoot in August. Huh. As expected, Matthew Vaughn isn't returning to direct, so who will take the reins of this next entry? Jeff Wadlow. Wait, who? He directed the forgettable horror flick "Cry_Wolf" and the even more forgettable underground boxing movie or whatever "Never Back Down." Undoubtedly, he's affordable, and he's also penning the script for this as well.
It was only last fall that Millar lamented, "…there’s a window because the actors are all supposed to be in high school and if this came out after 2013, for example, that window would have closed. I obviously know more than I can say, but I think people will be pretty happy with the conversations we’ve been having." And well, it looks like those conversations are bearing fruit.
So get ready, these awkward crime fighters look like they're coming back. Who woulda believed it?
Next thing you know Mark Millar will be talking Kick Ass 3 up. Only Kick Ass 3 doesn't exist…as I know of ?
Man, the original is so awful.
