Got a Tip?

Kevin Hart Joins ‘About Last Night…’ Remake

nullAlthough first announced early last year, the Will Gluck (“Easy A”) -produced remake of “About Last Night…” hasn't had any new developments — until now. THR is reporting that comedian Kevin Hart has signed on to star in the film.

The original flick, directed by Edward Zwick and released in 1986, starred the brat pack duo of Demi Moore and Rob Lowe, was based on David Mamet’s play “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” and told the tale of the up-and-down relationship of a couple through their first year. Right now, not much else is known about the project, other than the fact that Leslye Headland (writer-director of the upcomingBachelorette”) is writing the script, and that Hart will take the role previously played by Jim Belushi.

We’re guessing that in the wake of his strong showing earlier this year in “Think Like A Man” (which pulled in a pretty great $91 million domestically) studios are more eager to cast Hart in bigger roles, which is just fine by us. There’s still no director attached, but depending on how “Bachelorette” plays later this year, maybe Gluck will promote Headland to directorial duties.
