Who would’ve thought that one day the guy who was best known for playing the neurotic Dr. Frasier Crane on not one but two long-running hit sitcom series would become a franchise regular? Well, it looks like that’s the odd career path being taken by one Kelsey Grammer. Already lined up with a bad guy role in “Transformers: Age Of Extinction,” now he’s gonna be flexing his (newly found?) muscles with Sylvester Stallone and his band of beef jerky enthusiasts.
Yep, Grammer is going to be kicking ass and giving prescriptions taking names in “The Expendables 3.” Deadline reveals that he actually nabbed the role that was originally going to be given to Nicolas Cage (huh?), that of ex-mercenary Bonaparte, who helps the good guys save the day. Again, we’re just kind of totally baffled, but hey, who are we to judge? If Grammer can show some new sides to himself on the big screen, we’re not gonna argue with that. And let’s remember, he’s the guy who made stepping on rakes repeatedly a goddamn art form.
So be prepared: Stallone. Statham. Ford. Gibson. Schwarzenegger. Li. Lundgren. Snipes. GRAMMER. 08.15.14.
I'm glad Cage isn't doing this shit. He should focus on more respectable roles.
I didn't think they could cast anyone worse than Liam Hemsworth…I was wrong.
