I think I’m going to buy the standard DVD instead of the BluRay on this one, as to match all the others. Sorry but I don’t think they’ll bring out Wes’ others on BR anytime soon, and if they do, they’ll prbably be in a boxset which I’d end up getting anyway. And yes, Bottle Rocket is his second best film, right after Rushmore.

If i had copies to run a contest, I totally would, but when was the last time you saw Criterion run a give-away contest? Never. They give out very limited copies for review. I asked super early. Also this one is probably going to sell a bundle for their 4th quarter bottom dollar. They know everyone will buy them. People only do giveaways when they’re trying to raise awareness i think and i don’t think this one needs any help.
PS the deleted scenes (11) are pretty good, but no Leslie Mann. Hopefully I’ll do a full blown review.
