It’s cute. Nothing more, but you can get the exact lyrics if you want over at Fox Searchlight. “Juno” was number #3 at the box-office this weekend with $16.2 million which is pretty amazing for an indie-film that’s slowly gone wide. “Juno” is in its fifth week of release and films almost-always fall down the box office charts, they don’t slowly climb up. Some are saying it’s on track to beat “Sideways” and “Little Miss Sunshine” (two of the top grossing indie films). That might be too early to tell, but either way, this film is a bonafide hit for Fox Searchlight (that lost money on “The Darjeeling Limited” for example).
Actually, “Juno” was made for a paltry $2.5 million dollars and has already earned over $52 million according to Box Office Mojo. “Sideways” grossed $71 million and ‘Sunshine’ grossed $59 million, so Juno looks on track to easily overtake both those numbers (and probably to become one of the most profitable films ever – Jason Reitman welcome to your totally made career).
In the liner notes of the seemingly very-popular “Juno” soundtrack (if the high traffic on those posts is any indication) Reitman wrote about Ellen Page introducing him to the Moldy Peaches, “Ellen was hanging out in my office, when I asked her, ‘What kind of music do you think Juno listens to?’ Without pause, she blurted out, ‘the Moldy Peaches!’ and within seconds she was downloading songs on my computer.”
And that was basically that.
This interview between comedian Zach Galifianakis “Juno” star Michael Cera really has nothing to do with anything, but we just watched and almost pissed our fucking pants. Holy shit that was funny (we heart them both so much).
