20th Century Fox might be the envy of Hollywood at the moment, having crafted the art of the modestly budget, R-rated hit. Before "Deadpool" become a record-breaking blockbuster this past weekend, they had released the equally high-concept "Kingsman: The Secret Service" the year before, which earned over $410 million worldwide. Naturally, a sequel is one the way, and they are getting a big name for the baddie.
THR reports that Julianne Moore is in talks to play the villain in the picture, which will see Matthew Vaughn return to the director’s chair. No word yet on plot details, but the word is that the story will relocate the action to the United States. Perhaps the most interesting tidbit of all, though, regards Colin Firth. While Vaughn has previously said he wanted the actor to reprise his role even though his character was killed in the first movie, and even had an idea of how to do it, the trade said Firth won’t be returning (apparently, there was talks of using flashbacks or a twin brother device — yikes — but thankfully, those ideas were tossed).
"Kingsman 2" starts shooting this summer, and will open on June 16, 2017.
Harry Hart made the movie. The only thing that kept me from being completely disgusted with the film was the idea he\’d likely return for the sequel. Instead they bring CHARLIE back? His head should have exploded! And he was a traitor and a right tosser. Yet they found a way to bring him back?
Greetings All you Cousins named Firth!
You are being missed at our

No Colin???? :(((( but Eggsy/Hart chemistry was the best thing about the movie T_____T
Taron Egerton is the reason I loved the first film so looking forward to a sequel
As far as I am concerned Colin Firth is what really made Kingsman and it was stupid to kill him off halfway through the film. I certainly wont be wasting my money to see any sequel if he\’s not in it so I wont be rushing for a ticket
As \’Harry Hart\’ Firth was SO good the thought of him not being in the sequel is madness. Julianne Moore is good, but honestly, Colin Firth as Harry Hart is movie gold. And I so wanted more.
Not gonna bother watching it if Colin\’s not in it. He was what made the 1st one great.
No Colin… no reason to buy a ticket.
No, HH in the sequel….I confess myself…disappointed! 🙁
