After three massively successful films, we can safely pronounce that new Jordan Peele film releases are special events. However, unlike many directors working today, Peele is steadily releasing new films like clockwork, after only two or three years. And it appears he’s keeping that trend going with his fourth film, which is expected to arrive on the big screen in 2024.

According to Variety, Universal has announced the release date for the next Jordan Peele film. And in a somewhat shocking move, it appears the fourth film from Peele will arrive on December 25, 2024. This marks the first holiday release for Peele. His previous film, “Nope,” enjoyed a mid-summer release, while “Us” and “Get Out” were both first-quarter releases. Does the Christmas release date indicate that his untitled film will be holiday-themed? Of course not. Though that would be wild for Peele to do some sort of X-mas horror/sci-fi film.
As we’ve come to expect with announcements about new Jordan Peele films, we’re given no information about the project outside of the date. No title. No cast. Not even a confirmation that he’ll continue to explore genre filmmaking. Though that is assumed. And don’t expect any of those answers to come soon. Typically, we don’t really start to understand what Peele has up his sleeve until much closer to the release date. With “Nope,” for example, it wasn’t until the first full trailer for the film before we got confirmation that it was an alien/sci-fi feature. “Us” was perhaps even more mysterious, as it was marketed as a home invasion film and turned out to be something much more strange and unique.
Regardless, as mentioned above, a new Jordan Peele film announcement is a reason to celebrate. And now, we can start counting down the days until Christmas 2024 when we’ll get to see what wild story the filmmaker has in mind next.
