Got a Tip?

Jon Favreau Joins Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’

nullBefore directing the blockbuster “Iron Man” films Jon Favreau was primarily known to the public-at-large as an actor with stints in the hugely popular sitcom “Friends” as well collaborations with his buddy Vince Vaughn. And while he’s set to start prepping the big screen adaptation of the hit musical “Jersey Boys,” the “Swingers” star/writer has cleared enough time in his schedule to make an appearance in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf Of Wall Street.”

Based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort and his experiences on the job in the ‘80s and ‘90s, the film centers on a wheeling and dealing New York stockbroker who sees his career and personal life fall into shambles thanks to sex, drug, and alcohol, and refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in his fifth collaboration with Scorsese, and Favreau will play a securities lawyer in a cast that includes Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin, Jon Bernthal, Cristin Milioti, Margot Robbie and Rob Reiner.

The film begins principal (digital) photography in August. [Deadline]
