This wouldn’t be the first time the DC Comics character created back in 1978 has appeared in live-action as actress Jeryl Prescott (“The Walking Dead“) had recently played Madame Xanadu in the James Wan-produced “Swamp Thing” series that only lasted a single season. Robinson also directed the critically acclaimed drama “Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.”

Abrams ultimately got his hands on the property and clearly seems to be developing an entire strand of that supernatural section of the DC Universe for HBO Max.
