Could the Paul Feig-directed, female-driven "Ghostbusters" reboot actually be gaining some steam? After years of false starts and empty hopes, it seems the director is the man finally getting the franchise moving again. Just the other day we learned Rebel Wilson met with Feig about the movie, and now you can toss another big name in to the mix. Maybe.
In the midst of a rather confounding MTV U.K. video, in which they ask a bunch of celebrities about their dream cast for "Ghostbusters 3," aka the reboot, Jennifer Lawrence says she had dinner with Feig. Now whether or not it was for this project or not isn’t exactly clear (Feig has a number of movies in development), but we’d say odds are pretty good the subject came up, especially if it’s going to be his next gig. Then again, in the same video, Lawrence is incredulous when she learns that "Ghostbusters II" exists. "Really?" she exclaims. And Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have to confirm that yes, it is real, and it’s not as good as the first one. So, if Feig and Lawrence talked "Ghostbusters," maybe the sequel never came up?
Anyway, do you want to see Lawrence face off against Slimer? Should she watch "Ghostbusters II" anyway? Let us know below. [via Comic Book Movie]
JenLaw is the anti-Kristen Stewart. She doesn\’t go around running her mouth about how real and honest she is, she just lives her life and it\’s obvious. Charming, sweet, goofy and fun, she can act her ass off and always turns in a good performance, regardless of the material. If she was in Ghostbusters, that alone would be a good reason to see it.
Jennifer Lawrence is basically the female Bill Murray. She is too cool and she makes every movie she is in better. Would love her to be in GB3 but I have the feeling she is going to decline for something more serious…but maybe if the script is really good…
Absolutely!…I would watch Jennifer Lawrence read the telephone book. Lawrence can do both drama as well as comedy. No, Lawrence doesn\’t need to watch GB2…it sucked.
