Got a Tip?

Jeff Goldblum Was Given A 109-Page Doc About COVID-19 Safety On ‘Jurassic World 3’ Set

While the rest of the industry begins to start filming on blockbusters, yet again, Universal has already got the ball rolling on Colin Trevorrow’s highly-anticipated sequel, “Jurassic World: Dominion.” Though the US is still dealing with spiking COVID-19 numbers and plenty of uncertainty, ‘Dominion’ seems to be moving ahead in the UK with the cast and crew all back at work. And according to one actor on set, Universal is making sure all safety precautions are being taken with the help of a novella-sized book of protocols.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jeff Goldblum, who reprises his role of Dr. Ian Malcolm in the newest sequel, spoke about the extensive precautions that Universal is taking to make sure there’s no outbreak while on the set of ‘Dominion,’ including giving the cast and crew a massive document outlining all the new protocols.

“They gave us 109 pages [of safety documents],” said Goldblum. “They invested all their heart and soul, and a lot of money, into making sure that we’re safe. I won’t bore you with the details, but we’re all going to be quarantined in a kind of a bubble, all the crew and all the cast. And testing and everything. We know it’s a risky time, but we feel it’s good.”

He added, “We know it’s a risky time, but we feel it’s good. Sam Neill’s there and Laura Dern and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard; Colin Trevorrow’s directing, and there are gonna be some dinosaurs.”

Even though Universal seems to be taking COVID-19 seriously, doing what it can to protect the cast and crew, that doesn’t mean the shoot has been easy. As detailed in a recent Twitter post by actress Bryce Dallas Howard, the return to production also means a return to doing stunt work. And sometimes, those stunts leave a mark or two.

The actress tweeted a picture of her arms up, showing the massive bruises she’s received from doing stunts during the ‘Jurassic World’ shoot. She captioned the photos, “Raise your hands if you’re happy to be doing stunts again!!”

As of now, “Jurassic World: Dominion” is scheduled for a June 11, 2021 release. Obviously, there’s no guarantee the date will stick. But if the shoot continues without issues, maybe, just maybe, fans will get some dinosaurs next summer.
