In light of the "Ant-Man" debacle, we’ve had to wait a little longer than we would’ve liked for Edgar Wright‘s next movie. It has been a couple of years since his apocalypse comedy "The World’s End," but the good news is that he’s back with a new movie, one that hopefully won’t require a compromise of his vision.
Deadline reports that Jamie Foxx has joined Ansel Elgort and Lily James in "Baby Driver." The music-driven movie follows a getaway driver (Elgort) who works for Foxx’s character and who has to deal with the consequences when a heist goes wrong. Sounds like the sort of lean, mean genre premise that Wright can really put his stamp on, so color me very, very curious.
"Baby Driver" isn’t due in cinemas until March 17, 2017, but here’s looking to Wright coming roaring back.
Good riddance to Foxx from The Trap. He\’s B list at best right now. Idris Elba is the man of the moment.
Foxx chose this garbage over The Trap?
Wright is desperately trying to finally add some people who aren\’t white to his films. Too little, too late. The leads remain white.
Enough with the whining about Wright leaving Ant-Man. Directors, writers and actors leave projects all the time. Get over it. Move on.
