If you’re wondering what the heck an Ultron is, not to worry because Marvel has got you covered. Even though the movie isn’t slated to drop until 2015, Joss Whedon and co. have been busy getting their ducks in a row for “The Avengers” sequel (after all, those Phase Two post-credits teasers don’t cast themselves). Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are expected to play Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the superhero followup, and now the villain who will get the band back together one more time, now has an actor to play it.
The rather unexpected and pleasantly surprising choice of James Spader will suit up as Ultron in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron.” The actor, easily the most entertaining part of Steven Spielberg‘s “Lincoln” (yeah, yeah Daniel Day-Lewis but Spader had all the best lines) and delightfully playing weird in the last couple seasons of “The Office,” we’re eager to see what Spader’s unpredictable energy will bring to the part. So yeah, kudos on this one. As for the character, you can get all your info here, but all you really need to know is that he’s a creation of Dr. Henry Pym aka Ant-Man, a super intelligent robot that—in comics at least—assembles a super team of baddies to defeat the Avengers. But whether or not Whedon takes that path remains to be seen.

I'm hoping they don't go with a jokey tone for the entire movie.
Proves that Marvel movies don't have great naturalistic acting. They go for the goofy tone everytime. Still don't understand the attraction of The Avengers. It was Independence Day with superheroes, ugly cinematography, cheesy one-liners and average CGI. Just my cents. Have a nice day. 🙂
I don't think he'll have to "suit up" — isn't this just a CGI character?
He night need to lose a few pounds judging by that Ultron pic.
