It looks like "Motor City" is going to need to refuel. Just one day after the film found a new leading man in Jake Gyllenhaal, it looks like the search will have to start over.
Deadline reports that scheduling issues have forced the actor — who was set to replace the originally cast Dominic Cooper — to bow out of the project. Gyllenhaal wanted to push the start date back, but producers Dark Castle weren't having it. So the the search will be on to find the someone to play the ex-military man/small-time crook who is framed and sent to jail, and then goes after the guys that put him there. Amber Heard is lined up to play the girlfriend who will get snatched up by the baddie played by Gary Oldman. Frankly, we'd dump whatever is on our calendar to work with either of them.
Albert Hughes will direct the Black List script by Chad St. John, with the picture aiming to shoot this spring.
AMBER HEARD is the one in most crappy films, not Jake.
What scheduling issues? Does Gyllenhaal have work lined up? Dude has been MIA and/or in crappy films for far too long. And HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO AMBER HEARD.
