Prime Video‘s “Jack Ryan” has been a massive hit for the streaming service, and John Krasinski‘s take on the character will end this year. Developed by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland, the show was the fifth adaptation of Tom Clancy‘s popular book series, which previously saw Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine play the character on the big screen in films like “The Hunt for Red October,” “Patriot Games,” “Clear and Present Danger,” “The Sum of All Fears,” and “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.”

“Jack Ryan” was the first televisual adaptation of Clancy’s material and saw Krasinski play the character for the entirety of the series, whose previous three seasons lasted eight episodes. Season four will be the shortest one of the show, running at six episodes.
Alongside Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, and Betty Gabriel are all slated to return from previous seasons, alongside Abbie Cornish as Cathy Mueller, who last appeared in season one. Michael Peña and Louis Ozawa are among the fourth season’s new additions, as Domingo Chavez and Chao Fah, respectively.
Here is the plot synopsis:
“The fourth and final season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan finds the titular character on his most dangerous mission yet: facing an enemy both foreign and domestic. As the new CIA Acting Deputy Director, Jack Ryan is tasked with unearthing internal corruption, and in doing so, uncovers a series of suspicious black ops that could expose the vulnerability of the country. As Jack and the team investigate how deep the corruption runs, he discovers a far-worse reality—the convergence of a drug cartel with a terrorist organization—ultimately revealing a conspiracy much closer to home and testing our hero’s belief in the system he has always fought to protect.”
Produced by Krasinski, Cuse, Allyson Seeger, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Michael Bay, John Kelly, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Vaun Wilmott, and Mace Neufeld, the show will premiere on Prime Video on June 30, with two episodes releasing weekly until the series finale on July 14.
